Entre cerros, cafetales y urbanismo en el valle de Guatemala: Proyecto de Rescate Naranjo

edited by Bárbara Arroyo

Monograph about the archaeological site of Naranjo in Guatemala's Central Valley, occupied between 800 and 400 B.C. It explains the important relations it had with the neighboring Kaminaljuyu. The authors also present the results of the collaboration among social actors, demonstrating that it is possible to carry out serious research as part of salvage archaeology projects. This case provided the opportunity to combine efforts to protect the national patrimony with the support of the private sector, the government, and academics. In Spanish.
