Pitt Crew rows out of one of the collegiate bays at Three Rivers Rowing Association, next to our friends and rivals at Carnegie Mellon University and Duquesne University. From TRRA, we launch onto the Allegheny River and traverse its waters north to the shores of Sharpsburg and south into the heart of the city to the Point. When feeling adventurous, we venture then onto the Monongahela or the Ohio River.
Pitt Crew's fleet has grown over the years, now being nearly able to field the entire team amongst our eights and fours. In addition to the larger boats, we have two pair/doubles and two singles so that our sweep rowing may be augmented by sculling.
When the river conditions don't allow us to bandy about in boats, the team makes use of a dedicated loft room in Bellefield Hall on campus to erg, lift, and occasionally attempt other sports (although rowers are notoriously bad at sports that require throwing or catching!).
