Masataka SakaneA Happy New Year from Tsukuba, JAPAN.I am Masataka Sakane, Orthopaedic surgeon, former research fellow of Dr. Woo. We had a great time in Pittsburgh from March 1995 to April 1997. Now, I am working at Tsukuba Univeristy Hospital as an attending spine surgeon. My main research fields are biomechanics of ligament and bone insertion, biomaterials for minimum invasive spine surgery, and sports medicine. My wife Michiko, cardiologist, is working hard at Otakamomori Hospital and now planning to open her private clinic next to our home in fall 2010. My eldest daughter, Natsumi, is in last grade of high school and studying hard to pass the entrance exams to Universities. Tomoha, 15 years old, 1st grade of Meikei High School, is enjoying her school life. Our youngest Mafuyu, was born in Pittsburgh in February 1996. Now she is second grade of junior high school and busy dancing ballet and competing in long-distance running. Almost every year, I attend the ORS meeting. See you soon in New Orleans. |
