Jennifer Wayne

Jennifer Wayne (PhD, UCSD 1990) and husband Gene Sloan (PhD, Scripps Institute of Oceanography 1991) on a trip to France last summer with daughters Stephanie and Nancy, in front of the Eiffel Tower.  Trying to make the most of our family time before the girls head to college.  We never thought it would happen so fast. Stephanie is already looking; Nancy has a few more years.  Jennifer is Professor of Biomedical Engineering and Orthopaedic Surgery at Virginia Commonwealth University where she has worked for the last 19 years; she just completed a year as the first female chair of the ASME Bioengineering Division.  Gene works for a Japanese firm specializing in high performance fibers.
