The year 2010 marked a significant event for Kevin and Kathy, their 25th wedding anniversary. The picture was taken at the celebration held in August marking the occasion. Karys is in Grade 8 and continues to participate in school athletics playing badminton, track and field, volleyball and basketball. She also participates on our commmunity soccer team taking turns at goal and playing out. It is indoor soccer in the fall and winter and outdoor soccer in the spring. She remains active riding horses, playing polocrosse, and with piano. Kurt is now in Grade 10 and has had an eventful year in hockey. He played in the Alberta Cup in April, the top 160 kids in the province for his age participating. He attended his first Western Hockey League camps in Everett, Washington and Brandon, Manitoba. There has also been some interest from College hockey teams in the US, although he is a few years away from graduating. He is playing this winter with the Midget A Bruins in the Northwest Calgary Athletic Association, leading his team in scoring. Kurt continues with guitar lessons. Kevin remains busy as the Division Chief for Orthopaedic Surgery. There is a new Tower opening at the Foothills site which is orthopaedic surgery. This is bringing challenges also. Kathy is working as Kevin's office manager and with the Cardiology Division part-time.
