I'm Preston!
My name is Preston Nguyen and I am a freshman at the University of Pittsburgh. I am currently in the Dietrich School of Arts & Sciences, but am working to transfer into the Swanson School of Engineering to study Material Science Engineering. I am a part of the Innovation & Entrepreneurship LLC and activately participate in the Panther Judo Club. I graduated from Ambridge Area High School as the Salutatorian. I was very active in the Technology Student Association (TSA) having gone to States three years in a row. In my free time, my main hobbies are Speedcubing and Judo. Speedcubing is solving Rubik's Cubes for the fastest time and is organized by the World Cube Association. To this date, I have attended US Rubik's Cube Nationals three times and Rubik's Cube Worlds once. I plan on attending Rubik's Cube Nationals this upcoming summer and will be part of the staff. My statistics can be viewed by clicking this link . I have been practicing Judo for the past three years and have obtained the rank of sankyu (brown belt). In addition to actively participating in the Panther Judo Club, I have also competed in Judo tournaments, one of which being a national tournament. I was the Judo Junior National Champion in 2013. In a way, I could be considered an athletic geek. 3725 Sutherland Dr Sutherland East Room 323-1 Pittsburgh, PA 15213 pvn2@pitt.edu |
