Graduate Student Researcher (GSR) Position at the University of Pittsburgh


 

The Microsensor and Microactuator Laboratory in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Pittsburgh has a graduate student researcher position available in high temperature acoustic wave sensors. The project involves analytical and experimental studies of surface acoustic wave devices and their applications in advanced power generation systems. Qualified candidates with background in any of the following fields will be considered: physical acoustics, semiconductor materials and devices, microfabrication, ferroelectric and piezoelectric materials and devices, solid mechanics, and precision instrumentation.Students with strong motivation for exploration in the frontier of micro and nano devices are highly encouraged to submit resumes to the address listed below. The successful applicant will be provided thorough training in the Microsensor and Microactuator Laboratory at the University of Pittsburgh. Desirable starting/enrollment date is August 15, 2012.
