B.A.S.I.C.S. (Black Active Student Intercollegiate Struggle)
- This committee is designed to create a link to all Black Student unions in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and in the surrounding areas. Hopefully this network will branch out all over the nation. It is a functional part of the Black Action Society.
Blackline (Network Journal)
- Blackline, the official publication of the Black Action Society, serves as the information center for Black students, conveying current issues, general information and creative literature.
Community Outreach
- This committee serves as a link between college students and the community of Pittsburgh.
Membership
- This committee serves to keep the members of the Black Action Society interested and active in the organization.
Political Action
- Political Action has been designe to give participants enlightening experience through their involvement in the politics of the university and the community. The committee works to make student aware of how politics made by the government affect our lives.
Programming
- This committee’s responsibility is to plan various cultural, educational, and social events as well as assist all other committees in arrangement of their programs. New ideas for programs are always welcome.
Public Relations
- This committee is responsible for publicizing all BAS programs using all forms of media available.
