There was
revealed the low prevalence of DM both in examined people and their parents. Only one
person among the parents of all investigated people had diabetes according to
questionnaire. These data support the hypothesis that the prevalence of diabetes among Natives of Chukotka is lower than in other circumpolar native populations. |
