African Program for Onchocerciasis Control freed up 25 million hectares of arable land for agricultural use

600,000 cases of blindness have been prevented to date

The author  has helped with this program in Latin America, where some remote families were located by using

infrared satellite (to see location of campfires at night) and medication distributed to them as a result.
