Adenomatous polyps, which are these little bumps that develop and can evolve into cancer, are very, very common. This is what I spend a fair amount of time doing: identifying polyps and removing them. These polyps are relatively common and are fairly simply removed, with a scar that heals up. Presumably, I am preventing cancer by doing this because I am taking out something that potentially could turn into cancer. There is data to support that.
