Economic evaluations conducted on diabetes-related issues center around treatments or programmes for diabetes complications (e.g. retinopathy, renal disease), and programmes to reduce the incidence of diabetes or adverse outcomes of diabetic pregna ncies. In general, there are many diabetes issues where economic information of this type is needed.
