Intel has its headquarters in Santa Clara, California, in Silicon Valley. The company was founded on July 18, 1968 by Robert Noyce and Gordon Moore. They made the company known by producing semiconductor chips and inventing the x86 series of microprocessors.
Intel now produces a wide variety of computer components, softwares, and much more. The company supplies processors for companies such as Apple, Lenovo, HP, and Dell. It also manufactures motherboard chipsets, integrated circuits, graphics chips, and even is working on cloud storage technology. Over the past decade Intel has also come to acquire various companies such as McAfee Security, Saffron Technology, and MobilEye.
