In February of 2014 we recovered three over lapping cores through the lake ice using a 9-cm diameter UWITEC corer from the University of Pittsburgh. This 12.54 meter long composite core with a basal age of ~30,000 yr BP is now being analyzed and dated by members of the Fish Lake Project including: Chuck Bailey, William and Mary; Scott Harris, College of Charleston; David Marchetti, Western State Colorado University; Andrea Brunelle, Vachel Carter, and Mitchell Power, University of Utah; Lesleigh Anderson, USGS Denver; Joe Donovan, University of West Virginia; Eric Gramm, Illinois State Museum; Joe Stoner, Rob Hatfield and Brendan Reilly, Oregon State University, and Darren Larsen and Mark Abbott, University of Pittsburgh.
