Ronald McDonald House

Alpha Delta Pi's national philanthropy is the Ronald McDonald House(RMH), which serves as a home for families who have terminally ill children. Located near major hospitals, these homes charge little to no rent, and allow parents a warm, comforting place to stay while their child undergoes treatment.

For more information concerning Ronald McDonald House Charities, please visit the RMHC Home Page at Ronald McDonald Charities.

Throughout the Year:

The sisters of Alpha Delta Pi collect can tabs in order to exchange them for a monetary donation for the RMH. The sisters also visit the Ronald McDonald House, located in Shady Side, once every month. The visits include cleaning the houses where the families stay, ice cream sundae parties, entertaining the children, and bringing over food for the families.

Ronald McDonald Charities and ADPi at Pitt:
The sisters of Alpha Delta Pi at Pitt hold two big philanthropy events each year in order to raise money for the RMH.

  • Diamond Heist
  • Quarters for Kids

Diamond Heist
The Diamond Heist is a capture-the-flag tournament held in the fall. Fraternities, Sororities, and other campus organizations participate in this all day event.
Quarters for Kids
Quarters for Kids is all all day cook-out held in the spring. It includes activites and a raffle. The sisters of Alpha Delta Pi ask for donations of quarters.
