Any data collection process for one patient--or many patients--always
starts with questions. Questions are asked to obtain information about the
case or cases.
Clinicians and epidemiologists work closely. The clinical case presented
here is of an adult male light-breed horse that is brought to the clinic
because of intense abdominal pain: the horse has been rolling and kicking
the belly for 24 hours.
