Presented here is an example of a loose-fitting helmet with a PAPR.  The basic components for this respirator include a metal helmet, a hood and cape, a flexible tube, and a circular perforated air diffuser. The air purifying element and mechanical source are usually attached to the tube by a belt worn with the loose fitting helmet.
