Project Overview

In this project we aim at constructing profiles, information regarding servers, network, and client performance. With such profiles at hand, performance of network queries can be considerably optimized. Also, such information improves Web caching utilization, thus reducing retrieval latency, a common deficiency in contemporary wide area applications.

Our work  with OPNET Modeler focuses on an extensive simulation study of the network clustering and profiling for Wide Area Applications and the impact of performance monitoring on WAN:

• Simmulation-based study of the network clustering and performance monitoring for WAN.
• Extending Opnet Modeler with Client Profiles for Selecting Data Sources in WAN.
