Calliope is one of the only organizations in western Pennsylvania dedicated to promoting and preserving traditional and contemporary folk music. Calliope has brought some of the best performers of traditional, heritage-based music to Pittsburgh, including Arlo Guthrie, EmmyLou Harris, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, and The Sam Bush Band, to name a few. Shows performed at the Carnegie Lecture Hall in Oakland.
