Student admissions - $8, general admission - $12. All readings are held at 8 p.m. in the Carnegie Library Lecture Hall.
The mission of the International Poetry Forum is to demonstrate the relevance and centrality of poetry to the general public though the oral presentation of poetry.
In pursuit of that mission, the forum has presented Nobel, Pulitzer, and National Book awardees; Oscar, Emmy, and Tony award-winning actors; Grammy award-winning musicians; and poets from more than 35 countries, in its Poets-in-Public reading series.
The forum also sponsors Poets-in-Person, an educational outreach that matches junior high and high school students with published regional poets for readings and workshops. The International Poetry Forum has been a Pittsburgh tradition for more than 37 years.
