On the Identity Conditions of Scientific Disciplines

Abstract: Although everybody would agree that, say, physics differs from chemistry, philosophy of science has not, in the main, tried to pinpoint the identity conditions of scientific disciplines, and hence the telling differences among them, in a philosphically adequate manner. The paper tries to walk a few first steps towards determining the identity conditions of physics.
