Abstract:Rédei et al (1999) observed that the premise of outcome independence of Bell’s theorem might be too stringent, as it postulates one system of screener-offs for multiple correlations, in contrast to Reichenbach’s screening-off condition, which is applicable to a single correlation. As a generalization of local non-conspiratorial models with outcome independence they proposed local non-conspiratorial models with separate systems of screener-offs and posed a question whether Bell’s inequalities are derivable in the new models. We prove that the new models are not more general than the old ones, and consequently, that the new models permit a derivation of Bell’s inequalities. The talk is based on joint work with Leszek Wronski. |
