Emergentist Explanations of Cognition

My current research covers themes from philosophy of cognitive science and philosophy of mind. I have done work on issues in the epistemology of cognitive science, especially as they arise from applying mechanistic and computational principles in the study of mind and brain processes. Focusing on the notion of cognitive explanation, my doctoral thesis explores the scope of mechanism in the cognitive domain, the implications of applying mathematical tools and concepts to study the dynamics of cognitive and neural processes, and the notion of a unified theory of cognition.
