Every semester, FORGE at Pitt hosts various events to spread awareness about different humanitarian and refugee crises across the world and in Pittsburgh. This includes fundraisers, conferences, panel discussions and forums. In addition, we also celebrate the refugee community in Pittsburgh by hosting parties with our refugee families. Listed below are some of our future events.

Forge Valentine's Day Bakesale:
(Thursday, February 14, 2013 outside Einstein's in Posvar Hall.) -- Join FORGE as we celebrate Valentine's day with a bakesale featuring home-made baked goods including cookies, brownies, cupcakes, and more! For more information, visit the Facebook event.

Spring Party:
(Friday, March 29, 2013) -- Every year, FORGE celebrates the spring with the local refugee community by hosting a Spring Party where we play games and enjoy the outdoors. Snacks and refreshments will be provided.

2 Years, 2 Sudans:
Independence and Its Humanitarian Implications:

(Tuesday April 9, 2013, 8PM-10PM)
(William Pitt Union Dining Room B) -- As we approach the 2-year anniversary of South Sudan's independence, FORGE invites you to a panel discussion and forum featuring presentations from guest lecturers, including Sudanese refugees and experts in the field, to analyze the current situation in Sudan and the progress that has been made in the last 2 years. The presentations will be followed by a brief intermission, after which we will host a group discussion and Q&A session. Food and refreshments will be provided!
