There is another one, the Fall Armyworm. The Fall Armyworm a tremendous
amount of maize is being killed by this worm which loves to eat it. It's a
beautiful solution. This was discovered in the southern part of the U.S.
many, many years ago and so all of the maize that is now grown in the south
of the U.S., has what is called a Bt gene. It's a bacterial toxin that will
kill the Fall Armyworm. If the Fall Armyworm eats it, they die. This has
been adopted in South Africa, this is all BT maize. But in Zimbabwe, Robert Mugabe in his wisdom decided that this was too dangerous to be grown in
Zimbabwe and they are not allowed to grow it. Zambia, Namibia, Malawe and
this little worm spreads like mad. It's a very highly communicable
disease.
