John Williams’s concentration is on manuscript illumination and Spanish medieval art and architecture. He has recently been honored with a Festschrift, Church, State, Vellum, and Stone: Essays on Medieval Spain in Honor of John Williams (Brill, 2005), coedited by Therese Martin and Julie A. Harris.
