Undergraduate

The Department of History of Art and Architecture offers the BA in two majors: history of art and architecture and architectural studies. The art history major emphasizes broadly applicable skills of critical thinking, visual analysis, and oral and written expression; majors can use this preparation as a path into graduate or professional school in a variety of fields, or as a path into an arts-related career. The architectural studies major is a preprofessional program that specifically prepares students for graduate study at an architecture school or for a related career in the building/design professions.
