With the exception
of the Rochester Epidemiology Project (which uses population-based data from
the Mayo Clinic and its ‘catchment’ area), the data on entire populations
emerges from publicly-funded insurance programs in developed countries. For descriptions of each data base: 1. Canadian Databases 2. Rochester Database 3. Oxford Database 4. Scottish Database 5. Western Australia Database Once collected, datasets must be organized so as to support easy access and use of the data by researchers and data analysts. |
