My Future As an Engineer

Registration Process

1. Earn a 4 Year Degree at at PET Certified College
2. Work under a Professional Engineer for 4 Years
3. Pass 2 competency exams
4. Be Granted a license from the state licensing board

Significane

It is important to become a registered engineer to add credibility to one's name and work. As an engineer, I could be involved in porject that involves the lives and well being of other people. Those people, and the other engineers i work with must be able to trust my work and know it is reliable and respectable.

Engineering the the World

As mentioned in the previous statement, Engineers have a responsibility to the world. Engineers model and shape the future, and they are ethically inclcined to do it properly and with the goal of bettering society. It is importatn to become registered and spend time working with an engineer so that one can experience the ethical and moral demands of the job on a day-to-day basis.
