Scholarship Opportunities

Access Scholarships

Access Scholarships is a 100% free scholarship search platform with a goal to connect as many students as possible to scholarship opportunities as well as general resources necessary for success. The Access Scholarships website is available here.

After College Scholarships

AfterCollege scholarships are awarded to current students who stand out as future superstars in their field. Create a concise, yet impactful, profile showcasing your talents and passion for your field of study, and you could be the next recipient!
Application deadline for all scholarships is June 30, 2022 at 11:59pm

AfterCollege STEM Inclusion Scholarship
$500 - Open to currently enrolled students working toward a degree in a field of Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics from a group underrepresented in their field of study. Underrepresented groups may be defined by: gender, race, ethnic background, disability, sexual orientation, age, socio-economic status, nationality and other non-visible differences. Minimum 3.0 GPA.

AfterCollege Succurro Scholarship
$500 - Open to currently enrolled students in an accredited program, working toward a degree (AA, AS, BA, BS, MA, MS, MFA, PhD, MD, JD, etc.) in any discipline. Minimum 2.5 GPA.

AfterCollege Science Student Scholarship
$500 - Open to currently enrolled students working toward a degree (AA,AS, BA, BS, MS, PhD) in one of the many fields of science. Science can include (but is not limited to): Astronomy, Biology, Chemistry, Geology, Meteorology, Oceanography, Physics, Zoology, etc.. Minimum 3.0 GPA.

BosterBio Biomedical Scholarship

Boster is proud to provide an annual scholarship to students with an interest in pursuing or continuing a 2 to 4-year academic program related to Biology or Biotechnology. The Boster Bio Scholarships for Young Scientists Of Excellence will provide $1,000 scholarships to graduating high school or college students to aid their scientific research in college.

D. E. Shaw Research offers paid summer internships for undergraduate and graduate students from a range of scientific and technical disciplines. Internships for rising sophomores are 8 weeks long, while those for rising juniors or seniors and for graduate students last for 12 to 15 weeks.

If selected to participate in the internship program, you will become part of a team working on projects that directly impact our company. Maintenance Engineer (Hollsopple, PA location): The qualified candidate will be responsible for identifying essential maintenance requirements to increase plant productivity, completing design work related to improving the reliability and safety of plant operating equipment, maximize reliability performance with a sustainable approach, as well as capture all opportunities to improve processes while reducing total cost and maintaining quality and safe practices. Qualified applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering with three to five years experience preferably in heavy manufacturing. FMEA knowledge plus the capability to facilitate RCA process is required. Must possess knowledge of structural and machine design, fluid mechanics, heat transfer systems, materials, drafting, construction, contract preparation and project management. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, 3D CAD modelling software (Inventor, Solidworks, etc), and maintenance programs along with experience in writing detailed reports including results and recommendations.

Process Engineer (Hollsopple, PA location): The qualified candidate will be responsible for providing support, development, improvements and monitoring of the production processes to ensure the successful and cost-effective production of iron powder. Candidate will also be responsible for troubleshooting and making recommendations through equipment or process changes, along with increasing productivity and improvements within quality, environment and safety. Qualified applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering with three to five years experience preferably in heavy manufacturing. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, along with experience in writing detailed reports including results and recommendations.
