• Assignment 2 (due Friday 01/30): Ch. 5, Exercises 5, 6, 8, and these.
• Assignment 3 (due Monday 02/16): Ch. 5, Exercises 12, 20, 21 and these. (Note: changes to the due date and Addendum problem 2.)
• Assignment 4 (due Monday 03/02): Ch. 5, Exercises 10 and 22, Ch. 6 Exercises 1, 2, and 4, and this.
• Assignment 5 (due Monday 03/16): Ch. 6, Exercises 9--11, and these.
• Assignment 6 (due Wednesday 4/01 Friday 4/03): Ch. 6, Exercises 12, 13 and these. (Note: change to Addendum problem 2.)
• Assignment 7 (Extra Credit, due Friday 4/17): Ch. 7, Exercises 7, 8.

The final project is a talk to be given Thursday afternoon, 4/23, or Saturday 4/25. Here is a list of potential topics with some references. (NB: working document.) Feel free to choose a non-listed topic, but please in any case run your choice by me.
