Ellen Bishop

Ellen Bishop has an MFA in poetry in addition to a doctorate in Philosophy with a specialization in Film and Cultural Studies. She taught Film and English Conversation, Composition, and Literature at Chonnam National University in Gwangju, South Korea from 1996–98 before returning to the University of Pittsburgh.

She enjoys sea kayaking and has a black belt in Kouk Sundo. Her favorite films are: Alien, Kundun, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, The Bachelor and the Bobby Soxer, The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly, and Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
